The Convention 2014: Great Networking Opportunity For Engineers

As we all know networking is an excellent tool in beginning your future career. It can be as simple as talking to someone on the train, a friend of a friend, going to an event in your field or organising a meeting. Luckily for you engineers out there, we have found the perfect networking opportunity for you. Here are the details.

When: November 24th – 28th, 2014

Where: Melbourne Convention Centre

Engineering elite will be converging to discuss the future of Australia’s manufacturing sector, climate change and the role of nuclear energy. It is expected to be the largest engineering event ever held in the Southern Hemisphere.

There will be huge engineering star power including retired NASA Astronauts, Colonel Chris Hadfield and Dr Andrew Thomas, International Space Station Operator and Operations Engineer, Andrea Boyd and Nobel Prize winner Rajendra K. Pachauri. Even former Prime Minister, The Hon. John Howard and The Hon. Tim Fischer will be discussing how the past has engineered our future.  Former journalist and 2013 Australian of the Year, Ita Buttrose, will moderate the session.

The conference is expected to attract 5000 delegates who will enjoy six conferences covering defense, applied mechanics, climate change, complex projects, telecommunications and leadership. There will also be a number of workshops and tours to participate in.
